| Description | The 1990 Census gathered data on household size and |
| composition and can be aggregated by geographic units as low |
| as the Census tract. This data set is the diffinitive source of |
| information on demographics of the U.S. popualtion. |
| Special Features | The 1990 Census is thought to have seriously undercounted |
| children because of new phrasing of questions reguarding |
| children in the household. Also, data for all Census years are |
| thought to undercount transients, immigrants, homeless |
| persons and persons without phones. |
