Firearm Injury Prevention State Status Report The Handgun Epidemic Lowering Plan (HELP) produces this report annually to provide an update of fatal firearm injury by state and to examine state regulations regarding handguns. In addition, advocates of handgun regulations and data sources in each state are listed. The most recently published report includes mortality data from 1999 through 2004; it is available at the HELP website. The next edition is scheduled for release in Spring, 2006.
